"When I started working out with Strong at Last, I hadn't worked out regularly in a long time. Getting up from the couch was an effort and I was achy most of the time. Now getting up from the couch isn't an effort and I don't have pain.
My goal was to increase my mobility, stability, stamina and strength so that hopefully as I age I can still DO for myself. I can honestly say all have been achieved. I can stand on one foot with good balance. I couldn't do 5 unbroken air squats before Zoom classes; now I can easily do 10 or more unbroken. My 1 rep max for bench press previously (over 6 years ago) was 117# now it is 120#.
I'm still working on increasing my strength and stamina so I can keep up with my Grandson when I get to see him! I also take care of my 91 year old Mom and there are times when she has fallen and I need to pick her up that I've thought, 'Thank you Brea for all the squats and strength training.'
It was very hard to get myself motivated to workout on my own. Working out over Zoom with the other ladies has been a great motivator!
